The Seven Principles of an Effective REIKI Training!
At first glance there seems to be many REIKI “masters” and courses, and even
varieties of Reiki (where all of them came from is still unclear to me) from
which to choose, but from an experienced REIKI Master's point of view, there
are only a few really critical factors involved in teaching people to be an
excellent Reiki Healer.
1. When there is humor present throughout the course and students are laughing,
they are learning at subconscious levels! Laughing can make hours of learning
fly by in no time at all. Learning is supposed to be fun. Victoria Stitzer and
her International School of Reiki make Reiki Certification classes fun to
attend.
2. Do not talk about it, DO IT! Knowing about REIKI isn't enough; the graduates
have to be able to use that information effectively in every aspect of their
lives! Can they do it after they leave the training?
3 An excellent REIKI training program uses REIKI, along with NLP techniques to
teach REIKI. Let me explain. NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming,
which is often referred to as “Waking Hypnosis”. This science actually makes
learning easy and fun, helping retention of the presented material. Victoria
Stitzer, who is a Master of NLP and a Reiki Master of over 20 years, was the
first to totally grasp and implement using REIKI and NLP to teach REIKI! When
you join Victoria’s class, it would be helpful to you that you bring some things
in your life you would like to work on and improve. You will be amazed at the
difference this training will make in your life!
4. Demonstration versus information. Live demonstrations of the methods being
taught are far more effective than reading from a REIKI book. Besides, you
cannot learn Reiki from a book! This experiential training offers multiple
exercises so that you make the new skills a natural part of your life, your
routine, and your behavior. It's easy to learn new skills when the instructor
sets up a series of carefully-designed exercises to practice them so they become
a part of you.
5. Knowing the students are equals who can learn the instructor's skills, rather
than acting like some kind of "guru" whose talent the students could never hope
to achieve. With this, inviting and responding to questions, is important.
Answering with real world examples, not theory. Never using excuses such as,
"Your unconscious understands it even though you don’t", or saying "You’ll get
that later", simply do not work! No one leaves the training until everyone
“gets it”.
6. Response-ability. The ability to respond from experience, teaching what one
has experienced and done. A good REIKI Master/Teacher has used these skills in
the real world and will teach from that experience. This will let the trainer
notice verbal and nonverbal cues from the audience or demonstration subjects and
vary their behavior in response.
7. Verifying that participants are learning the REIKI skills. An excellent
trainer will watch and notice if the students are getting "REIKI" and be
available for follow up questions if needed. Is there an exam? Yes,
there is an open book exam after the 1st Level of REIKI; a Symbol
Drawing exam after the 2nd and 3rd Levels, and a
20-question exam after the Masters training. Students are welcome to ask
questions in person, as well as via phone and e-mail AFTER the training, and
practice in the School’s facility once a week under the supervision of Reiki
Master. We encourage you to stay in touch and we want to know how you are
doing!
